We would like to begin by welcoming you all to North Farnborough Infant School. We are delighted that you and your child will be joining us in September and we can’t wait to meet you all.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic we are currently considering how we will manage induction to school this year. We understand the current situation is very daunting and that many of you are hearing things in the news about when schools will return and what impact this will have on your child's start to school.
We would like to reassure you that we place a high importance on transition at North Farnborough Infants School. We believe that in order for children to settle into school feeling happy and safe, a strong transition is required. So please let us reassure you there will be a transition into school even if it looks different to our normal provision.
We plan to still make contact with all of your pre-schools to gain as much information as we can on your child as we always would. We are currently reviewing our usual transition procedures which would have involved us visiting your children at their pre-school and had set visits for your child to spend some time at North Farnborough. We will continue to follow the Governments advice and will inform you of any transition information or events as and when we are able to.
We would usually hold a ‘Starting School’ evening where we would welcome all new parents to the school and provide information around starting school. Unfortunately this is not possible currently so this information is now on our website under the 'Welcome to North Farnborough' section.
We will continue to add any relevant and helpful information to this page of our website. We will email you to inform you when new information has been added. If you have any concerns or questions regarding your child’s start to school please do not hesitate to contact the school via telephone or email and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
