On behalf of the governors, we warmly welcome you to North Farnborough Infant School.

NFIS is a vibrant and joyful school located in the heart of Farnborough. Our governors, staff, parents, and pupils take great pride in our school, the high standards and progress our children achieve, and our strong connections with the local community.

The governing body collaborates closely with our Headteacher and senior leadership team to ensure that the school's standards and expectations remain high, and that all our children grow into well-rounded individuals ready for the next phase of their education. While governors are not involved in the day-to-day management of the school, we help set its long-term vision, direction, and ethos. We are responsible for the budget, ensuring the school gets good value for money, monitoring and helping set academic standards, participating in staff appointments, and offering support and challenge to the senior leadership team as they build on the school's past achievements.

Above all, we prioritise our pupils' safety, wellbeing, and education.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated and hardworking team at North Farnborough who deliver an enriched and creative curriculum, giving every child the opportunity to reach their full potential. We also have incredibly supportive parents who enhance the life of the school by reading to children, organizing community events, assisting on educational visits, and raising funds through the Friends of North Farnborough Infant School (FONFIS).
